The ultimate battle computer robot in Doctor Who was the Skovox Blitzer! The Blitzer used sophisticated technology to lock onto and track its prey. Unfortunately, the Blitzer attacked Coal Hill School, the workplace of Clara Oswald and her boyfriend Danny Pink. This was the second time that Coal Hill School had been attacked by aliens, the first attack occurred during Remembrance of the Daleks. Thankfully, the Twelfth Doctor went undercover as The Caretaker at the school and he was able to defeat the Skovox Blitzer with help from both Clara and especially Danny.

The Twelfth Doctor goes undercover as the Caretaker at Coal Hill School where Clara and her boyfriend Danny Pink work as teachers (The Day of the Doctor, Into the Dalek). The Doctor discovers that a battle robot called the Skovox Blitzer is on the loose and killing innocent people. Danny and Clara’s relationship is put to the test when Danny discovers the truth about Clara’s other life travelling in the TARDIS with the Doctor. Right from outset, the Doctor dislikes Danny because he used to be a soldier. It is confusing as to why the Twelfth Doctor dislikes soldiers so much, given the fact that he was friends with the Brigadier and he even salutes him at the end of Series 8. My own personal theory is that the Doctor was bitter that his pension had not come through from U.N.I.T. During parents evening, the Doctor and Clara decide to try and lay a trap for the Skovox Blitzer using technology from the TARDIS. However, after luring the Blitzer into a building, Clara and the Doctor are unable to disable in time. However, Danny distracts the Blitzer with some exemplary gymnastics skills, which gives the Doctor enough time to deactivate the Skovox Blitzer. The Doctor takes Clara’s annoying pupil Courtney Woods into space to see the stars and prove that he lives in a Time Machine. The setup of the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald, Danny Pink and Courtney Woods mirrors the first TARDIS team of the First Doctor, Barbara Wright & Ian Chesterton (also Coal Hill School teachers) and Susan in An Unearthly Child. Danny is still not the biggest fan of the Doctor. However, Clara convinces Danny that she wants to continue travelling in the TARDIS with the Doctor. One of the victims of the Skovox Blitzer, a police officer, wakes up in heaven and meets Missy, the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere. The Doctor later returns to Coal Hill School in the Doctor Who teenage spin-off Class.
