The Bogeyman was a creature made out of living mucus that had been galvanised in the sewers of a giant nanny spaceship. The babies onboard had their noses blown regularly and this led to the creation of the Bogeyman that was terrorising them. The Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday arrived on the ship and rescued the babies as well as the Bogeyman. Space Babies relies heavily on toilet humour making it one of the most disgusting episodes of Doctor Who made to date. Although this story is not a classic, Ncuti and Millie’s chemistry is electrifying from the word go. Their Doctor/companion dynamic reminds of me of Chris and Billie’s TARDIS team of the Ninth Doctor and Rose.

The Doctor takes Ruby Sunday in her first trip in the TARDIS. After briefly visiting the time of the dinosaurs, the TARDIS team arrives on a space station in the far future. However, the space station is crewed by babies! The babies are looked after by an automated nanny system, which does everything from changing their nappies to blowing their noses. But, their used tissues are sent to the bottom of the ship and the mucus has accidentally been galvanised to form a sentient mucus creature known as the Bogeyman. The babies live in fear of the Bogeyman. But when the nanny decides to eject the Bogeyman into space, the Doctor saves the creature from destruction. The Doctor finds that the babies’ nappies have been put into the waste disposal of the space station and that the build up of waste material will give them enough energy to propel their ship to their new home. The Doctor and Ruby leave the station, content that they have saved the space babies. “That’s why I keep moving on, to see the next thing, and the next, and the next. And sometimes… It looks even better through your eyes.” At her first ever comic con, Millie Gibson was sexually assaulted by some prick. Unfortunately, things like sexual assault and rape are a part of life for most women. Wherever we are and wherever we go, yes means yes and no means no! Women need to be believed when they make allegations of sexual assault and harassment and the culture of victim blaming needs to end. This way women will start to report things like rape and sexual assault and therefore rapists will no longer be free to move on to other victims. I support the #MeToo Movement. Donald Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women on tape and his unacceptable comments should have automatically disqualified him from the US Presidency. Why would anyone vote for someone who bragged about sexually assaulting women? Donald Trump is a racist rapist and he should be in prison not the White House. There is no justification for voting for Donald Trump, his voters are bad people! How could anyone vote for Trump, even if you are racist? It’s a good thing that Doctor Who is responding to what is happening in the world right now politically by introducing a woman Doctor and then a black Doctor. It is horrifying and staggering that America would rather elect a rapist (Donald Trump) as US President than a woman (Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris). And it is also awful that America replaced its first black president (Barack Obama) with a racist, white supremacist (Donald Trump).
