Monarch is a gigantic frog-like creature that is transporting the entire population of his home planet Urbanka to Earth. Three billion Urbankan people have been kept in suspended animation whilst the ship is staffed by humans from throughout Earth’s cultural history. The Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric arrive on the Urbankan ship when it is just four days away from Earth. The TARDIS team are able to defeat Monarch and his servants Enlightenment and Persuasion.

The TARDIS lands inside a gigantic spaceship on its way to Earth and it will arrive in four days. The entire population of the planet Urbanka is aboard along with many specimens from throughout Earth’s cultural history. The Supreme Leader of the people of Urbanka, Monarch intends to destroy the Earth on his next visit. The Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric work together to defeat Monarch by miniaturising him using a poison and also disable his two servants Enlightenment and Persuasion. The kidnapped humans from throughout Earth’s history travel on in their gigantic spaceship. Four to Doomsday was the first story that Peter Davison recorded as the Doctor but it was his second televised adventure.
