Blowfish – Torchwood Incursion

The Blowfish was a red alien species that the Torchwood team in Cardiff encountered. The Blowfish had a nasty habit of stealing anything valuable, including flashy cars. I have had sex with women in the back of cars! I have a driving license although unfortunately, I have never owned a flashy car! Owning a Ferrari or a Lotus is the dream! Thankfully, the Blowfish were killed by the Torchwood team whenever they encountered them in the adult Doctor Who spin off series Torchwood.

Captain Jack Harkness is confronted by his past when he encounters a fellow rogue Time Agent – Captain John Hart (the Time Agency is an organisation based in the 51st Century). Jack returns to the Torchwood team in Cardiff, who are in the middle of capturing an alien Blowfish. Jack explains that he found the Doctor (Torchwood: End of Days, Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords). John tells Jack that the Time Agency in the 51st Century has now closed down (The Talons of Weng-Chiang). After wreaking havoc in the city of Cardiff, Captain John infiltrates the Torchwood team and starts trying to pick them off one-by-one. However, the team fight back and ultimately repel Captain John which leads to a situation where he ends up with a disk bomb genetically wired into his chest. Owen Harper manages to genetically confuse the disk bomb by injecting Captain John with blood from each of the Torchwood members. The disk bomb detaches and Jack throws the bomb into the time fissure through which Captain John arrived. Captain John leaves after informing Jack that he has found his long lost brother Gray. When I met Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marsters, he signed my Torchwood Series 2 Blu Ray. James Marsters said to me that “this show [Torchwood] pissed off all the right people”, i.e. homophobes.

About Chris Olsen's TARDIS

I am an aspiring television producer, screenwriter and showrunner. I became a childhood fan of the popular BBC TV series Doctor Who at the age of 10, when my parents introduced me to the show upon its return in 2005. I am interested in all things sci-fi, fantasy and geeky, but Doctor Who takes the crown above all else. This website will detail my reviews of various episodes of Doctor Who from throughout its 60-year history. It will also contain content relating to other franchises that I grew up with as a kid, such as Star Wars and Harry Potter.
