One of the strangest and creepiest adventures in Doctor Who was when the Fifteenth Doctor’s companion Ruby Sunday was cursed and she was stalked by a mysterious woman in the distance. The woman stayed exactly 73 Yards away from Ruby and anyone who went up and spoke to the woman was scared away from Ruby for good. The Doctor vanished at the beginning of the story when he and Ruby discovered a mysterious circle on a clifftop. At the end of Ruby’s life, the woman revealed herself as an old version of Ruby and our Ruby was transported back to the moment that the Doctor and her arrived on the clifftop and she was able to tell her younger self to warn the Doctor not to step on the small circle. This aborted the dystopian timeline that Ruby experienced. It is important to remember that Ruby Sunday is the fittest companion that Doctor Who has ever had and there is serious competition for that title! Actress Millie Gibson is so talented that she was able to carry an entire episode of Doctor Who by herself at the age of just 18. It doesn’t matter that Ncuti was barely in 73 Yards, it’s still one of his best episodes, alongside Boom and Lux! David was barely in Blink and it is still one of Tennant’s most popular episodes! No one’s perfect? What about Millie Gibson?!π

In this elite episode, the Doctor and Ruby arrive on the Welsh coast. The Doctor steps on an enchanted βfairy circleβ and Ruby reads aloud a message written on a scroll placed within it which says βRest in Peace, Mad Jackβ. The Doctor vanishes and Ruby is cursed by an ancient spell from Welsh folklore as a result. I support Welsh independence! π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ Ruby sees a woman who stands exactly 73 yards away from her and this remains the case for the rest of her life. Anyone who goes up and talks to the woman is immediately scared away from Ruby because the woman says something to them about Ruby (presumably the horrifying revelation that Ruby likes pineapple on pizza). This includes some dwellers of a nearby Welsh pub, her own adopted mother, Kate Stewart and U.N.I.T. and ultimately, a fascist Welsh Prime Minister (although the latter was a deliberate action by Ruby in her 40s). In real life, Nigel Farage (who looks like a frog) would be “the most dangerous Prime Minister in history”. Roger ap Gwilliam takes the world to the brink of nuclear war, until Ruby scares him off using the woman in the distance. Donald Trump is a fascist and as US President, he is at risk of bringing the world to the brink of nuclear war too! However, if I were the UK Prime Minister, I would scrap Trident and get rid of all of our nuclear weapons. All nuclear weapons should be abolished and the UK and the US should massively decrease military spending. We don’t need nuclear weapons, we are never going to use them! Most countries in the world don’t have nuclear weapons, so why have them at all? I want my grandchildren to live in a world where there are no nuclear weapons at all. All countries should commit to complete denuclearisation. The only arguments that countries should have with each other is over football. In her 80s, the old Ruby returns to the TARDIS on the Welsh coast and wonders why the woman in the distance was cursed upon her. In her final moments of life, the woman reveals herself to Ruby as an old version of herself. The old Ruby returns to the moment that the Doctor and Ruby arrived and warns her younger self to tell the Doctor not to step on the enchanted βfairy circleβ. The Doctor avoids stepping on the circle and the dystopian timeline that Ruby experienced is aborted.
