The Chuldurs were a shape-shifting bird-like race that wore human disguises. The Chuldurs infiltrated a garden party in Bath, 1813 as the first step in their plan to conquer Earth. The Duchess wanted to take the body of the Fifteenth Doctor. But thankfully, Ruby and the Doctor were able to defeat the Chuldurs with help from a dashing time traveller called Rogue, who has a romance with the Doctor. This groundbreaking Doctor Who episode depicted the Doctor’s first onscreen gay relationship. I am a bisexual white man and I support LGBT equality. There are similarities between Rogue and the character of Captain Jack Harkness.
Rogue
In this Bridgerton-inspired, Regency costume drama episode, the Doctor and Ruby spend an entertaining evening at a ball in Bath, 1813. However, something is afoot! Some of the guests, including the Duchess of Pemberton, are being replaced by alien imposters called Chuldurs, a race of shape-shifting bird-like humanoids. Birds are descendants of dinosaurs. An intergalactic bounty hunter called Rogue captures the Doctor, believing him to be a Chuldur. A romance blossoms between the Doctor and Rogue. The two dance together as a ploy to get the Duchess and the other Chuldur on their own. Rogue proposes to the Doctor with a ring. Ruby’s new friend Emily reveals herself to be a Chuldur too and apparently kills and shapeshifts into Ruby. Upon discovering this, the Doctor interrupts the Chuldur’s mock wedding and uses Rogue’s sealing device on them. Ruby reveals that she is the real one and that she managed to fight off Emily. Rogue arrives, knocks Emily into the seal, kisses the Doctor and he replaces Ruby in the seal. Rogue asks the Doctor to find him again as he and the Chuldur are sent to an unknown alternate dimension. The Doctor sends Rogue’s invisible spaceship into an orbit around the moon. He tells Ruby that it wouldn’t be possible to find Rogue due to the infinite number of alternate dimensions. There are similarities between Rogue and the character of Captain Jack Harkness. The Doctor and Ruby return to the TARDIS as he puts on Rogue’s ring. I am a bisexual white man and I support LGBT equality and gender equality and female emancipation. If you have a true heart, there is no room in it for prejudice. I had two lesbian flatmates and a bisexual flatmate at university and I used to party with them in gay clubs and bars. We once got chucked out of a gay bar because two of my lesbian friends started having sex in the toilet! My lesbian flatmates once dressed me up as a woman! I am the only person that I know that has been on holiday with three lesbians to Barcelona! I love lesbians! I absolutely love lesbians! I took one of my girlfriends to a strip club in London and we got a lap dance from a really hot female stripper, my girlfriend kept shouting at her “I am GAY! I am GAY!”. Some of my girlfriends have put money into strippers’s thongs! I love polyamory! I have many black friends and I have many gay friends! I have more gay friends than everyone I know! Love is love! Some of the cleverest people who have ever lived have been gay like Alan Turing and Russell T Davies. And Pete Buttigieg would make an excellent US President. By contrast, Vladimir Putin is a horrible, homophobic tyrant! Mike Pence is also a raging homophobe and a religious bigot. Donald Trump should be in prison not the White House! And I have had many black girlfriends, Asian girlfriends and Indian girlfriends. Love is colourblind! I have dated women from all over the world! I have kissed many women and some men over the years! At university, I was on the committee of a diverse science fiction society, which included many LGBT members (including one transgender person). This is the gayest, most pro-LGBT website ever made! I encourage everyone to challenge racism, sexism, misogyny, xenophobia, Islamophobia, transphobia, bigotry and homophobia wherever they see it. This is the most pro-feminist, pro-women website ever made! ♀ I support gender equality and female emancipation. Men and women should be equal! ♂ There is no excuse whatsoever for sexism or misogyny. Women get rejection too and women get bullied too, it’s not just you. I was bullied by women as well as men throughout my life but I have discovered since that women get rejected too and they get bullied and laughed at too, it’s not just me. Misogyny goes hand in hand with homophobia. Homophobia is stupid and wrong, who cares what someone’s sexuality is? If two men love each other then that’s great! That’s beautiful! Homosexuality is a beautiful and wonderful thing and it should be celebrated! Love is love! 🌈 I love gay people! I would describe myself as bi-curious given that I have kissed some men in the past. 💋 It is important to remember that sexuality is a spectrum and that gender is fluid! It is important to teach children from a young age that being gay is normal and that we should accept one another regardless of sexuality or gender. I am not religious so therefore I don’t believe that it is acceptable for right-wing politicians to dent gay peoples’ human rights just because of what is written in the Bible. The world is a better place because of gay people! Marriage is a human right under Article 12 of the Human Rights Act 1998, so I support gay marriage because gay people should have the right to marry whoever they want and adopt if they want to as well. Gay marriage is a wonderful thing and Russell T Davies’s influence in the media has helped to shift the conversation about LGBT rights in the UK. Diversity and LGBT representation in television and film is so important. Doctor Who has always been very LGBT-friendly and this is mainly thanks to Chris Chibnall, Steven Moffat and particularly Russell T Davies. Russell said that he wanted to move Doctor Who away from traditionally masculine sci-fi, which is the right thing to do because a lot of sci-fi is riddled with toxic masculinity and gender stereotypes! It’s great that Doctor Who is so diverse and inclusive! Society has gotten too hard and it needs to get softer. This is the blackest and the gayest website ever!
