The TARDIS lands on an acid factory in a castle on a remote island in the near future. The human workers use flesh avatars called Gangers to mine for acid without getting hurt themselves. However, the discarded Gangers are living beings with thoughts and feelings and they have the same right to life as the humans do. Following a freak lightning storm, a group of freed Gangers decides to fight back and overthrow the humans. Taking revenge never ends well! You should never hurt others, even if they were cruel people who hurt you first unprovoked. The human crew have no idea who to trust in a castle full of doppelgängers. Double trouble! By the way, I love going on double dates! I would be happy to live with a Ganger double of me because I love myself! Events take a turn for the worst when the Flesh copies the Doctor and creates a Ganger of him. This presents an enormous challenge for Amy as her trust and faith in the Doctor is put to the test. Rory begins to sympathise with one of the Gangers called Jennifer Lucas, as he discovers that the company Morpeth Jetsan is illegally throwing away old Gangers. The Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory manage to unite the surviving humans and Gangers and help them off the island in the TARDIS. The Ganger Doctor and another Ganger sacrifice themselves to defeat the mutated Jennifer Ganger. After dropping the survivors off, the Doctor, Amy and Rory return to the TARDIS. The Doctor reveals that Amy is actually a flesh avatar and that the real Amy was kidnapped just before the events of The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. The Doctor disintegrates the Ganger Amy and the real Amy wakes up in a hospital bed, where she is asked to give birth by a woman with an eyepatch – Madame Kovarian! This leads directly into the events of A Good Man Goes to War.

About Chris Olsen's TARDIS

I am an aspiring television producer, screenwriter and showrunner. I became a childhood fan of the popular BBC TV series Doctor Who at the age of 10, when my parents introduced me to the show upon its return in 2005. I am interested in all things sci-fi, fantasy and geeky, but Doctor Who takes the crown above all else. This website will detail my reviews of various episodes of Doctor Who from throughout its 60-year history. It will also contain content relating to other franchises that I grew up with as a kid, such as Star Wars and Harry Potter.
