The Krillitanes were bat-like creatures that inherited the best bits of the races they conquered. The Krillitanes had changed their physiology so many times that their own oil had become toxic to them. In Deffrey Vale High School, London, the Krillitanes had disguised themselves as schoolteachers. They were secretly feeding Krillitane oil to the kids to make them cleverer so that the children could solve the Skasis Paradigm for them. This was the god-maker equation that would give the Krillitanes control of the building blocks of the universe. The Doctor reunited with his old companions Sarah-Jane Smith and K-9 at the school in one of the most emotional episodes in Doctor Who‘s history. It’s time for another gentle reminder that David Tennant is the best Doctor! David Tennant is the best Doctor, it’s a fact not an opinion! You either think that Tennant is the best Doctor or you’re wrong! There will never be a better Doctor than David Tennant! David Tennant gives one of his best performances in this incredible story, proving once and for all that he will always be the best Doctor, a fact not an opinion! How could anyone think that David Tennant is not the best Doctor?!

Mickey contacts the Tenth Doctor and Rose about strange UFO activity above the Deffrey Vale High School in London. The Doctor and Rose go undercover as a physics teacher and a dinner lady respectively. The school teachers at the school are all slightly weird and the headteacher Mr Finch encourages all the children to eat the chips at lunchtime. The Doctor’s old companion Sarah-Jane Smith, who is an investigative journalist, arrives at the school looking for a story. When they are reunited, Sarah-Jane confronts the Doctor about why he never came back for her after the events of The Hand of Fear. The Doctor reveals that after being summoned back to Gallifrey in The Deadly Assassin, all of the Time Lords were later wiped out during the Time War, leaving just him left. Meanwhile, Rose learns her own place in the Doctor’s many lives. Mickey laughs about the situation given that the Doctor is like any other bloke and therefore has a history. Sarah-Jane shows the Doctor K-9 Mark III, who is now rusty and old – the Doctor left him as a gift for Sarah-Jane in K-9 & Company: A Girl’s Best Friend. K-9 analyses a sample of the oil found on the chips and K-9 reveals that it is Krillitane Oil, which is being used to make the kids at the school cleverer. I am very clever and I did well academically at school! I got A*BB at A-Level and I got 3A*s, 6As in my GCSEs. And I obtained two law degrees. However, I didn’t enjoy school or university so therefore I don’t speak to anyone from either. The Doctor realises that the school teachers are disguised Krillitanes, a composite race that cherry pick the best elements from the races they destroy. They are currently shaped like bats. The Doctor confronts Mr Finch who ultimately reveals that he and the other Krillitanes are using the advanced intelligence of the schoolchildren to solve the Skasis Paradigm, the god-maker equation that will give the Krillitanes the power to control all of time, space and matter. The Doctor realises that the Krillitanes must be stopped! The Doctor and his companions narrowly escape being eaten by the Krillitanes before they are saved by K-9. K-9 chooses to sacrifice himself by blowing up the flammable Krillitane Oil and with it, himself and all the Krillitanes. Rose and Mickey get all of the children out of the school safely, before K-9 blows up the building. Sarah-Jane mourns the loss of K-9. Later, the Doctor, Rose and Mickey are about to leave in the TARDIS, but the Doctor offers to let Sarah-Jane travel with them too. However, Sarah-Jane refuses because she decides that she needs to forge a new life of her own here on Earth. As a parting gift, the Doctor leaves behind a brand new model K-9 Mark IV as a present for Sarah-Jane. Sarah-Jane and K-9 walk off to have The Sarah Jane Adventures together. I love K-9 but I think that K-9 works best as a sidekick character to the Doctor or Sarah-Jane, rather than having his own spin-off show. I don’t think that K-9 & Company or the awful Australian K-9 spin-off series worked. K-9 worked much better as a side character in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Education is important because qualifications are your passport. A more educated population also leads to more desirable outcomes in general elections and referendums.
